Summary of the Post:

Under the guidance of the Chief Field Office, responsible for
leading/facilitating district base Maternal and Child Survival,
Development and Protection (MCSDP) programme planning, implementation,

focus on evidence-based policies, budgeting, ensuring all programmes

Qualifications:

Summary of the Post:

Under the direct guidance of the Supply & procurement Manager,
assists in the supply, procurement, distribution and monitoring of
UNICEF's supplies, in support of the Country Programme. Major duties
include:

Assists in the implementation of the supply component
of the Country Programme, including advice on a suitable system for the
procurement and distribution of supplies to all project sites. Provide
input to the yearly work-planning and reporting to identify and analyze
the annual requirements of the country programme, and develop with Govt
a system for storage and distribution of supplies to all project sites.

Responsible for logistics/supply planning through coordination with
Operations/Programme Sections. Provides technical advice on
specifications supply and logistics arrangements facilitating efficient
procurement, clearance, storage and distribution of supplies and
equipment, in support of the country programme implementation.

Assist in the management of offshore procurement activities for both
programme and administrative supplies and equipment in a timely and
economic manner from inception until final delivery to meet targeted
goals and objectives. Maintains links with Copenhagen on transnational
shipments, deliveries, claims and appropriateness of supplies.
Undertakes local procurements. as required and assist in conducting
market surveys and compiling local price lists. Prepares documentation
for and participates in Contract Review Committee (CRC). 

Interact with UNICEF Program, Government offices, Distribution centers
and clearing agents to ensure quick smooth clearance and safe
deliveries of supplies.

Qualifications:
a.. University degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field.

Summary of the Post:

To support the implementation and monitoring of UNICEF inputs and
activities in line with agreed project plans of action in Papua and
West Papua. The incumbent will be required to:

· Monitor,
identify and report on trends of programme implementation in terms of
Country Programme (CP) disbursement of funds, achievement of Management
Priority targets, etc. 

· Review, compile and collate

CP budget and annual ceiling for programme review. 

· Liaise

Qualifications:

Job Title:                      Program and Capacity Building Officer in Livelihood & DRR
Location:                      Medan (Indonesia)

Background to the position:
Since the Tsunami of 26th December 2004 and the earthquake of 28th March 2005 that struck Aceh and Nias, Secours Catholique has been supporting Church and non-Church partners to respond to these disasters. In August 2007, a Liaison Officer was based in Medan; SCCF improved its accompaniment and monitoring of the partners in Indonesia by establishing a team in Indonesia composed of two Programme Officers and a Finance and Administration Officer based in Medan and working under the supervision of a National Coordinator.
 
Primary Function: 
·         Facilitating the implementation of SCCF’s Strategic framework for Indonesia.
·         Ensuring the phase out strategy of SCCF from the tsunami areas / insuring the tsunami program exit strategy.
·         Accompanying diocesan Caritas partners, in developing livelihood program strategy and delivering livelihood projects within a disaster risk reduction mainstreaming framework, including preparedness and protection approaches.
·         In cooperation with SCCF's staff in Medan, monitor the programmes implemented by partners funded by SCCF, with a specific focus on diocesan Caritas partners.
·         Building partners’ capacity in project/program management and program strategy, particularly Cordia Medan, with a focus on livelihood, through program strategy, mentoring, coaching, training.
·         Developing collaborative relationships with strategic partners, donors and key stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of SCCF’s transitional strategy in tsunami affected areas and sustainability of partners. 
·         Under the responsibility of the national coordinator, supervision of SCCF team in Indonesia
 
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
·         In collaboration with the Programme Officer, provide strategic direction to SCCF’s work in Indonesia.
·         Manage, advise, support and guide the existing portfolio of partners with a focus on livelihood and DRR
·         Review and validate the partners’ reporting on a regular basis to monitor the progress and verify the projects are implemented in accordance with SCCF's requirements.
·         Together with the Finance and Administration Officer, analyze the consistency of the financial and narrative reports of the partners, and their consistency with the projects progress on the field.
·         Ensure the monitoring of the closure (including proper audit and evaluation) of tsunami projects from SCCF partners.
·         Compile relevant supporting documents and prepare the steps for closing the SCCF tsunami program in Indonesia.
·         Provide direct accompaniment to diocesan Caritas partners in developing projects, through all steps of the Program Cycle management, from needs assessments to final evaluation.
·         Support diocesan Caritas’s partners in developing program strategy, with a focus on livelihood within a DDR mainstreaming framework.
·         Collaborate and coordinate with the Finance and Administration Officer to monitor the partners’ reporting and financial management.
·         Ensure that budgets and funds for Indonesia are managed in line with SCCF’s existing procedures.
·         Improve programme quality and delivery with partners.
·         Make regular visits to the partners if relevant and if necessary
·         Provide specific accompaniment to local partners when needed in developing their knowledge and skills in project/programme management and administration.
·         Organize and facilitate workshop and training in livelihood and program management if necessary provide technical inputs and guidance on livelihood to SCCF team in Indonesia.
·         Identify potential donors and key stakeholders to support partners in sustaining their programs.
·         Facilitate SCCF team in Indonesia internal meetings and ensure proper planning and reporting of the related activities.
·         Systematically reflect on programme experience, research, and overall trends in order to feed back into the Tsunami Programme Unit (Based in the headquarters) strategy and lessons learned.
·         Collaborate with other departments of SCCF on issues such as administration, fundraising, communication, and education to development.
 
Qualifications:
·         Primary Degree or post graduate qualification in social sciences, development or humanitarian related area.
·         Specific qualification in livelihood – agriculture, marketing, business.
·         A minimum of three years field experience in management of development / emergency work.
·         Relevant experience and expertise in livelihood - Compulsory.
·         Strong experience or knowledge in DRR programmes.
·         Fluency in written and oral English – Compulsory.
·         Knowledge of the Indonesian context and middle level (minimum) in written and oral bahasa Indonesia preferably
·         Experience and knowledge of proposal writing, PCM, programme budgeting, M&E.
·         Experience of working with Church or ecumenical agencies.

Travel:
Position will be based in Medan, with frequent travel to project sites / partners' bases (North & West Sumatra, Bengkulu, Nias, West, Central and East Java, Sulawesi).
 
Contract Type: temporary contract for a minimum 6 months period with possibility of extension
Status : employee of a consultant firm, to be on secondment to Secours Catholique / Caritas France.

Konsorsium Reformasi Hukum Nasional (KRHN)

Yang
tidak terhindarkan dari pemilu bulan depan adalah sengketa hasil
perhitungan suara, baik antar calon maupun antar parati politik. Pada
pemilu 2009 ini, sengketa hasil pemilu menjadi kewenangan Mahkamah
Konstitusi, dimana persidangan dilakukan secara cepat dan putusannya
final dan mengikat. Untuk itu dibutuhkan pengetahuan dan keahlian yang
memadai terutama terkait dengan alat bukti, system persidangan, dll.. Menjawab
kebutuhan tersebut, Konsorsium Reformasi Hukum Nasional (KRHN)
menyelenggarakan pelatihan penanganan sengketa hasil pemilu. Acara ini
bekerjasama dengan Mahkamah Konstitusi, KPU, Hakim Agung, akademisi dan

LOWONGAN DOKTER HEWAN n PARAMEDIS DI PROGRAM KALAWEIT, KALIMANTAN TENGAH

Pusat Rehabilitasi dan Konservasi Owa‐owa Program Kalaweit Kalimantan Tengah membuka kesempatan bekerja kontrak selama satu tahun termasuk tiga bulan masa percobaan bagi dokter hewan atau paramedis hewan, dengan kualifikasi:
  1. Laki‐laki atau perempuan.
  2. Penyayang hewan dan pekerja keras.
  3. Diprioritaskan memiliki pengalaman medis dengan primata.
  4. Mandiri sekaligus dapat bekerjasama dalam tim.
  5. Bersedia ditempatkan/stand by di Pusat Rehabilitasi Owa‐owa Hampapak yang berlokasi di luar kota (±20 km dari Kota Palangkaraya) dengan system rotasi.

Benefit yang ditawarkan meliputi:

  • Tempat tinggal di kamp pusat rehabilitasi
  • Gaji di masa tiga bulan percobaan:
1. Dokter hewan => Rp 1.200.000,‐/bulan
2. Paramedis hewan => Rp 900.000,‐/bulan
  • Gaji setelah masa percobaan:
1. Dokter hewan => Rp 1.500.000,‐/bulan
2. Paramedis hewan => Rp 1.000.000,‐/bulan
  • Tunjangan logistic :
Dokter / Paramedis hewan => Rp 125.000,‐/bulan
  • Kenaikan gaji sebesar Rp 50.000,‐ pada bulan ke tujuh masa kerja.
  • Untuk pelamar terpilih yang berdomisili diluar Palangkaraya, biaya transportasi ke Palangkaraya akan ditanggung sesuai kesepakatan sebelum keberangkatan.

Dokter Hewan dalam budaya populer

Barangkali penggambaran paling akurat mengenai jenis kedokteran hewan ialah dalam buku otobiografi Dr. Gurnam Singh Gill, sarjana istimewa PAU Ludhiana, dan adaptasi televisi, All Creatures Great and Small. Yang terpopuler dalam media utama ialah Dr. Dolittle, yang merupakan buku anak yang diangkat ke layar lebar pada 1967 dengan Rex Harrison sebagai pemeran utama. Film itu dibuat kembali pada 1998 yang menampilkan Eddie Murphy sebagai Dr. Dolittle. Dr. Dolittle yang asli melibatkan pulau sebagai latar utama, sedangkan Dr. Dolittle yang dibuat kembali berlatar kota.

Selayang Pandang tentang Dokter Hewan

Meski di banyak negara dokter hewan dianugerahi gelar dokter dan menerima pelatihan lanjut dalam praktek kedokteran hewan, banyak bidang kerja yang terbuka bagi mereka dengan gelar dokter hewan selain dari praktek klinik. Mereka yang bekerja di lingkungan klinik sering praktek dokter dalam bidang spesifik, seperti kedokteran "hewan kesayangan", kedokteran ternak,kuda (mis. olahragabalapan, pertunjukan, rodeo), kedokteran hewan laboratorium, atau kedokteran reptil atau mereka berspesialisasi dalam bidang kedokteran seperti pembedahan, dermatologi, atau kedokteran dalam, setelah pelatihan dan sertifikasi pascasarjana.

Banyak dokter hewan mengikuti pelatihan pascasarjana dan memasuki karir penelitian dan telah menyumbang banyak kemajuan dalam banyak bidang kedokteran manusia dan hewan, termasuk farmakologi. Dokter hewan peneliti pertama kali mengisolasi onkovirus, sprsiesSalmonellaBrucella, dan bermacam agen patogen lainnya. Dokter hewan menentukan ciri-ciri agen penyebab penyakit botulisme; menciptakan antikoagulan yang digunakan untuk mengobati penyakit jantung manusia; dan mengembangkan teknik pembedahan untukmanusia, seperti penggantian pinggultungkai dan organ transplan.

Seperti dokter lainnya, dokter hewan harus membuat keputusan etika serius mengenai perawatan pasiennya. Sebagai contih, ada debat dalam profesi ini mengenai etika declaw kucing dan pengaitan dan pemotongan ekor dan telinga, seperti dalam perumahan induk babi dalam masa kehamilan.
